Flair is Canada's Worst Airline In Number of Complaints, Federal Data Shows

According to the CBC, new federal data shows ultra low-cost carrier (ULCC) Flair received the highest number of complaints compared to other major airlines in Canada, reports CBC News.

Over 20 per cent of Flair's flights generated some form of complaint to the Canadian Transport Agency (CTA) in the first quarter of 2023. In comparison, WestJet had 10.7 complaints per 100 flights, while Air Canada had 5.8. There's even a dedicated Facebook group — Flair Airlines Nightmares — which has over 10,000 members who trade horror stories about flying with the carrier.

Flair's customers have reported issues with last-minute cancellations, delays, lost bags, and poor communication, but the most common thread is lacklustre or non-existent customer service.
