American Airlines CEO Prepared to Match Delta Pilots’ Rich New Contract Terms

American Airlines CEO Robert Isom has announced in a video to its pilots that the airline is prepared to match the terms of rival Delta Air Lines’ new deal with its own pilots. That includes a rich, 40 per cent pay raise over four years, plus better profit sharing and other benefits, reports Airways Magazine.

The largest airline in the world has been in contract talks with its 15,000 pilots for three years. However, following the pandemic, the balance of power has shifted as a resurging demand for air travel accompanies serious pilot and other labour shortages.
