Just days after cancelling nearly 40 sailings in next year and in 2026, Norwegian Cruise line is making another round of changes on three ships and cancelling more itineraries.
Published reports say 35 trips on Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Encore have been jettisoned.
Norwegian Encore trips were cancelled between November 2025 through January 2026, while Norwegian Bliss cruises were cancelled between November, 2025 and March, 2026, and Norwegian Breakway trips were cancelled for January and February 2026, USA Today reports.
The changes were “a result of a fleet redeployment,” a Norwegian spokesperson told the newspaper. Guests booked on those sailings will get a full refund of their paid fare and a 10% future cruise credit. The discount can be used on any published voyage through 31DEC, 2026.
“We are committed to providing exceptional vacation experiences, both aboard our ships and by taking our guests to some of the most sought-out destinations around the world,” a company spokesperson told Travel + Leisure. “While we try to maintain original itineraries as much as possible, occasionally, scheduled itineraries may need to be cancelled, to allow the opportunity to introduce enhanced voyages that accommodate strong guest demand and provide a more immersive experience.”
Travel + Leisure said Norwegian Breakaway will now sail from New York City to the Southern Caribbean and the Bahamas, Norwegian Bliss will remain on the West Coast and operate cruises to the Mexican Riviera from Los Angeles, and Norwegian Encore will continue to sail from Miami to the Western Caribbean.
The magazine also said Norwegian is planning a new home port in Finland in 2026 and plans to become the first cruise line to sail from Philadelphia in years.
The cruise line last month scrapped 38 sailings between November 2025 and April 2026 on its Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Star and Norwegian Jewel vessels. A few days later it said it was cancelling Norwegian Jade's cruises from 18OCT, 2025 to 16FEB, 2026.
