Air Canada and Singapore Airlines have expanded their codeshare partnership, allowing Air Canada to sell single-ticket itineraries from Singapore to Canada via Brussels.
Brussels serves as a key hub linking North America with Asia, as well as Europe and Africa.
In return, Singapore Airlines will codeshare on Air Canada flights between Montreal and Brussels, and Toronto Pearson and Brussels, enabling onward connections to Singapore. According to AeroRoutes, the expanded agreement also includes codesharing on Air Canada’s Vancouver–Singapore route, allowing Singapore Airlines to offer itineraries from Vancouver to Singapore with onward connections across its Asian network.
The partnership between the two airlines has grown steadily since Singapore Airlines joined the Star Alliance in 2000. Air Canada already uses Singapore Airlines codeshare links to a range of Asian destinations, including Kuala Lumpur, Perth and Phuket.
According to its website, Singapore Airlines codeshares with Air Canada on Montreal–Frankfurt, Toronto–Frankfurt and Toronto–London, as well as Toronto–Los Angeles and Toronto–San Francisco for onward connectivity across its broader Asian network
On the West Coast, Vancouver is also linked via codeshare to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seoul and Tokyo (Narita).
