Air Canada is further extending suspension of flights to and from Dubai (DXB) and Tel Aviv (TLV), due to the “military situation in the Middle East”.
In an update on 06MAR, the airline said Dubai flights were cancelled until 28MAR, 2026 and Tel Aviv flights cancelled until 02MAY, 2026. Both routes were scheduled to reopen on 23MAR, 2026.
The carrier is warning travellers in both regions not to head to the airport, emphasizing that “safety is our top priority”. Travellers whose flights have be cancelled will be contacted directly by Air Canada.
Travellers also have the option of changing their flight free of charge or cancelling their flight and receiving a full refund until 31MAR, 2026, if their plans are affected by the suspensions.
Passengers with Middle East flights that are not affected by the disruption but want to change their plans can do so if they purchased their ticket no later than 28FEB, 2026, for travel between now and 15MAR, 2026. Adjustments are available on tickets travelling to, from or through: Abu Dhabi (AUH), Amman (AMM), Beirut (BEY), Dammam (DMM), Dubai (DXB), Erbil (EBL), Tel Aviv (TLV).
Changes to Air Canada Vacations bookings should be done via the tour operator.
The airline cancelled its routes to Dubai and Tel Aviv after the fallout from US–Israeli strikes on 28FEB, which has led to widespread travel disruptions, as reported by Open Jaw.
The carrier has since adjusted its long-haul network, increasing service to India, in response to airspace restrictions and safety concerns in the region.
