Canada Jetlines has announced that Chief Commercial Officer, Duncan Bureau, is leaving the leisure airline “to pursue other opportunities.”
Charles McKee has been appointed head of Jetlines’ commercial activities effective 28JUN.
“Charles brings with him more than 30-years of experience with leading travel companies, in marketing, branding, sales and revenue management. He is an excellent addition to the Canada Jetlines team and will focus on growing brand awareness, distribution channels, and sales and revenue growth for the company,” said Canada Jetlines’ Chief Executive Officer and President, Eddy Doyle.
In a press release issued by the airline, McKee is described as “an experienced executive across the travel space, with chief marketing and revenue responsibilities in the travel technology, airline, hotel and national destination marketing sectors” around the world. He moved to Canada two decades ago and was most recently SVP, Commercial Products for Sabre.
In the release, Jetlines thanked Bureau for his contributions to the start up leisure airline, saying he “assisted the Company with its start-up and the launch of several commercial systems and integration into distribution platforms.”
“The Company wishes him well in his next endeavors,” the release concluded.
Bureau told Open Jaw, "I am thrilled to pass the reins to Charlie McKee a long time personal friend and very experienced travel industry executive.
"I wish him and the entire team at Canada Jetlines amazing success and continued growth on what we collectively started."
