Adding Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, for roundtrip cruising offers an additional way to enjoy exploring the Caribbean with Costa with greater connectivity for North and South American guests.
Hosted by Dario Rustico, general manager of North and South America for Costa Cruises, and Fernando Joselevich, Costa’s country manager for Argentina and Latin America, the event was attended by prominent guests such as H.E. the Ambassador of Italy Stefano Queirolo Palmas (Ambassador of Italy to Santo Domingo and Port-au-Prince); the Commercial Director of the Port of Cruises and Airport of La Romana Andres Fernandez; Executive Director of Sansouci Port Rudy Pimentel, Maritime Segment Director of the Ministry of Tourism Ana Vilchez, and the cruise line’s Latin American partners.
"We are excited to introduce the beautiful port of Santo Domingo as an embarkation option in the Caribbean with Costa Fascinosa, which will deliver a new, memorable experience for our guests. Thanks to this new opportunity to join a cruise from the port of their choice adds flexibility for Costa guests who will have more Caribbean options than ever,” said Dario Rustico, general manager of North and South America for Costa Cruises.
From December 2025 through March 2026, Costa Fascinosa’s eight-day Caribbean itineraries that cruise roundtrip from Santo Domingo call at a combination of islands, including Barbados, Tortola, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Guadeloupe and Martinique. Most of the cruises include a call at Catalina Island, Costa’s private island.
The new departure port makes it easier to sail on a Costa vacation, whether it be from Santo Domingo, the dynamic capital of the Dominican Republic that blends rich history and colonial charm; La Romana, a coastal gem featuring pristine beaches and beautiful attractions; Guadeloupe, with its lush landscapes and vibrant local culture; or Martinique, a tropical paradise with breathtaking landscapes and stunning beaches.
Costa Pacifica Cruises the Caribbean with Two Roundtrip Options

In addition to exploring unique routes that are exceptionally scenic, the tropical itineraries are enriched with new “Sea Destinations,” to be discovered on board the ship during navigation. A voyage within a voyage, where the sea is not only the means to reach the cruise calls, but it is a point of view to experience special moments that reveal more about the iconic places included in the ship's route.
Ashore, “Land Destinations” present authentic experiences so guests will enjoy the ports to the fullest and expert guides show off the essence of every locale through cultural traditions and local flavors.
