Marriott Announces Conversion of Sunrise Miches to Marriott Miches Beach

Marriott Miches Beach
Marriott International announced the conversion of the newly reopened Sunrise Miches Beach Resort into the Marriott Miches Beach.
The transformation marks a milestone for Marriott Hotels, expanding within the Caribbean and bringing its wonderful hospitality to the beautiful shores of Miches.
Notably, this signifies the brand's first all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean archipelago, inviting guests of all ages and generations to immerse themselves in enriching experiences, captivating entertainment, and vibrant local culture.
The conversion process began on late 2024 and included extensive renovations to elevate the guest experience through a refreshed interior design, redefined culinary concepts, updated common areas, new functional spaces, and thoughtfully tailored entertainment. The resort's prime location on nearly 1,000 feet of beachfront will provide guests with direct access to the pristine water and white sandy beaches that Miches is famous for.
The Marriott Miches Beach offers an unparalleled all-inclusive experience, combining two distinct stay concepts within one property. One section caters to families with a fun-for-everyone atmosphere, including a waterpark and family entertainment. The other section provides a more upscale and relaxed adults-only experience. The resort will eventually feature a total of 500 elegantly designed suites, each with a private balcony or terrace, offering breathtaking views of the beach or the resort’s lush gardens.
Guests can currently enjoy a variety of amenities, including swim-up accommodations, and six gourmet outlets, eventually growing to a total of 11 restaurants. Among these are IBO, offering a sophisticated seafood and raw bar; Solano, focusing on South American and Caribbean cuisine; Neko, featuring a ramen shop approach; and Cabana, where guests can connect through flavors, music, lighting, and scents. Additionally, the resort boasts several bars; like Moka, the coffee bar with sweet and savory snacks, and three unique pop-up venues.
"We are delighted to bring the Marriott brand to Miches, our second Marriott Hotels branded all-inclusive resort in the world. This remarkable destination is known globally as a peaceful and nature-filled hideaway and the hotel’s location is truly breathtaking,” said Brian King, President for Caribbean and Latin America at Marriott International. "The Marriott All-Inclusive Resort in Miches also confirms Marriott International’s commitment to contributing to economic growth in the Dominican Republic. We look forward to welcoming guests to this stunning resort offering them Marriott’s wonderful hospitality for truly memorable and immersive all-inclusive experiences."
The resort also features multiple pools, a state-of-the-art spa, and a fully equipped fitness center. For those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, the expansive spa offers a variety of treatments and therapies using top-tier products. Additionally, the resort caters to business and event needs with 8,166 square feet of indoor meeting space, as well as additional open-air spaces, including a rooftop area.
Marriott Hotels All-Inclusive concept is all about empowering guests to unlock new and familiar experiences, that will allow them to connect in deeply enriching ways and strengthen social bonds. From local artist experiences and expansive water features to elevated service moments and modern design with easy technology, Marriott Hotels’ growing all-inclusive portfolio will set the new standard for All-Inclusive vacations.
Marriott Miches Beach has joined the All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, which includes a collection of premium and luxury all-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic like the Sanctuary Cap Cana, a Luxury Collection Resort, the Royalton Bavaro, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort and Casino, and the very much anticipated W Punta Cana, Adult All-Inclusive opening later this year. This addition reflects Marriott Bonvoy's strategic growth in the Dominican Republic, the all-inclusive segment, and its dedication to offering diverse and enriching travel experiences to travelers and its members.
