Hyatt Hotels Corporation is planning 138,000 additional rooms across both all-inclusive and EP sectors. New brand architecture has also been announced along with the launch of five portfolios: Luxury, Lifestyle, Inclusive, Classics, and Essentials.
"Hyatt’s growth and strategic brand evolution reflect our commitment to creating long-term value for owners and driving the performance of our hotels by delivering distinctive experiences for travelers," said Mark Hoplamazian, President & Chief Executive Officer of Hyatt.
"By focusing on this evolution, we are not only enhancing guest satisfaction but also strengthening our hotels' success and competitive advantage, driving preference among owners, guests, customers and World of Hyatt members."
Lifestyle Portfolio Expansion Boosted by Standard International Acquisition
Hyatt’s Lifestyle Portfolio is driven by the acquisition of Standard International. Amar Lalvani, the former Executive Chairman of Standard International, now serves as President & Creative Director of Hyatt’s Lifestyle Group. The acquisition brought brands like The Standard, Bunkhouse Hotels, and the newly launched The StandardX under Hyatt’s umbrella, adding 22 open hotels and over 30 future projects.
Recent openings include The StandardX in Melbourne, The Standard in Singapore, and Thompson Palm Springs, with additional lifestyle properties to debut in 2025, including Toronto’s TOOR Hotel, Andaz Miami Beach, and The Standard, Brussels.
Essentials Portfolio: Hyatt Studios Marks Upper-Midscale Entry
Hyatt’s Essentials Portfolio includes the creation of Hyatt Studios, a new upper-midscale extended-stay brand. With over 50 deals across 22 new markets, the first location, Hyatt Studios Mobile / Tillman’s Corner, is set to open in Q1 2025, alongside additional projects in markets like Chicago, Philadelphia, and several locations in Canada.
