New MICE Offerings at Velas Resorts

Grand Velas Los Cabos
Grand Velas Los Cabos

Velas Resorts is transforming corporate gatherings with MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) offerings that blend culture, creativity, and culinary exploration.

Designed to foster team bonding and inspire collaboration, these activities - perfect for a meeting break or teambuilding session - provide participants with an immersive connection to the vibrant traditions of Mexico, creating unforgettable shared experiences.

At Grand Velas Los Cabos, Brushes, Catrinas, and Cocktails invites participants to celebrate the spirit of Mexican culture through art and mixology. Teams work together to paint Catrinas, the beautifully adorned skeletal figures that symbolize life’s joyful celebration. Accessible for all skill levels, this creative exercise allows individuals to showcase their unique artistic flair while engaging in the shared cultural journey. Complementing the activity, participants enjoy signature cocktails handcrafted by the resort’s expert mixologists. Highlights include Mictlan, a striking black cocktail made with the ancestral spirit Charanda, tangerine juice, lime juice, and a black tincture of wood ashes, and Alebrije, an orange-hued delight crafted with tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and pumpkin candy.

For teams seeking a wellness-inspired activity, Casa Velas in Puerto Vallarta offers a Floral Workshop and Botanical Mocktails Experience. Set in a serene botanical garden, the activity begins with a hands-on floral design session where participants create beautiful flower crowns or arrangements. Following the workshop, attendees learn to craft their own mocktails using fresh herbs and spices from the onsite botanical garden.

At Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, MICE guests can participate in a unique Huichol Beading and Raicilla Cocktail Class, which introduces participants to the intricate art of Huichol beading. Team members personalize their own cocktail shaker with vibrant beads used most frequently by the indigenous people of the area, creating functional art that reflects their individual style. The experience continues with a cocktail-making class using raicilla, a traditional and lesser-known Mexican spirit also with origins on Mexico’s Pacific Coast, where participants craft signature drinks using their custom-made shakers.

Velas Resorts’ new MICE experiences are designed to strengthen connections among team members while offering an authentic and engaging way to explore Mexican culture. The Brushes, Catrinas, and Cocktails activity starts at $2,160 USD for 12 people, the Huichol Beading and Raicilla Cocktail Class start at $1,600 USD for 10 people, and the Floral Workshop and Botanical Mocktails experience starts at $1,750 USD for 10 people.
