As the winter chill settles over Toronto, the Distillery District’s Winter Village is bringing a warm, bright escape to the city. In partnership with VISIT FLORIDA , the official tourism sponsor for the Winter Village, this immersive haven will invite guests to feel the warmth and vibrant atmosphere of the Sunshine State in the heart of the Distillery District.
From November 13th, 2024, through January 5th, 2025, VISIT FLORIDA Visit Florida will transform the District’s Archeo patio into a Florida-inspired paradise creating a vibrant and cozy atmosphere in this picturesque holiday setting. Four specialty cabins will serve up Florida-inspired food and drinks, with each station celebrating a unique Florida destination and inviting guests to sample its distinct flavours."
● Visit St. Pete-Clearwater: Crab Bites with Cuban Mojo Aioli
● Visit Pensacola: Blackened Shrimp Tacos
● Greater Miami Conventions and Visitor Bureau: Churros drizzled in choice of chocolate or caramel
● Visit Orlando: Coconut Rum Hot Chocolate, a “Snowbird” Cinnamon Whiskey cocktail, or non-alcoholic options such as a Honeyed Hot Apple Cider and an Orange Hot Chocolate.
Visitors will step through the illuminated “VISIT FLORIDA” sign and be welcomed by the warmth of heat lamps and lush Florida foliage, complete with iconic palm trees and native sawgrass-inspired decor. A custom vacation- playlist will set the mood, while a dynamic video wall showcases Florida’s famous beaches, cityscapes and natural beauty. The seating area invites guests to relax and enjoy the laid back atmosphere Florida is known for .
To celebrate this unique experience, VISIT FLORIDA is hosting a series of three contests on The Weather Network for Canadians to win an escape to the Sunshine State.
