AmaWaterways has named Jenn Lee, President of Vacation Planners, as Godmother of its newest ship, AmaSintra, launching on Portugal’s Douro River in 2025.

A special christening ceremony is scheduled for April 17, 2025, along the picturesque Douro.

“Jenn’s passion for travel and her dedication to enhancing the guest experience through world-class customer service make her an ideal choice as Godmother of our beautiful AmaSintra,” said Kristin Karst, co-founder and executive vice president of AmaWaterways. “Her warmth, expertise, and unwavering commitment to supporting the industry align perfectly with AmaWaterways’ values. We are delighted to honor her with this special role and look forward to welcoming both new and loyal guests aboard AmaSintra to create memories that will last a lifetime.”

Jenn Lee will also join AmaWaterways on December 4 for the virtual event, “Sip & Sail into 2025 with AmaWaterways,” where she will appear alongside Kristin Karst, Director of Cruise Managers Wade Korzan, Emmy-winning TV host Samantha Brown, and other special guests. This live-streamed event will offer viewers a preview of the new experiences coming to AmaWaterways in 2025, including highlights from AmaSintra.

Launching in April 2025, AmaSintra will sail two seven-night itineraries along the picturesque Douro River, including the Enticing Douro, which sails roundtrip to Porto, and the Flavors of Portugal & Spain, which sails from Porto to Vega de Terron, with a reverse itinerary option. Aboard AmaSintra, travelers will indulge in renowned wines amid the sun-kissed vineyards of Port Country, savor the distinct flavors of Portuguese and Spanish cuisine and immerse themselves in the vibrant cultures of charming villages and historical cities throughout the journey.
