Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has announced new experiences for its Scenic Eclipse 2024, 2025 and 2026 ultra-luxury voyages in Antarctica and the Arctic regions.
On the Scenic Eclipse early season Antarctica voyages will be the unique opportunity to visit Snow Hill Island on a helicopter excursion^. Home to an Emperor penguin colony of up to 4,000 breeding pairs this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The pristine, snow-clad island is one of two colonies in the Antarctic Peninsula and accessible by air after navigating into the Weddell Sea. With two helicopters and seven departures featuring this excursion from October to early December 2024, 2025, and 2026, Scenic’s discovery program is unrivalled in Antarctica.
Scenic Eclipse II will venture to East Antarctica in December 2024 and 2025, following in the footsteps of great explorers like Mawson and Scott. The exclusive voyage from Queenstown, returning to Hobart, includes a complimentary helicopter shuttle to visit the remote Mawson’s Huts^ built from 1911-1914 and frozen in time.
In the Arctic and Fjords regions, the 16-day Norwegian Fjords & Crossing the Arctic Circle itinerary in 2025 sails around the Svalbard Archipelago into the High Arctic to Bergen, Norway one of the world’s longest coastlines. On the August 27, 2025 departure, guests have the opportunity to see the spectacular Northern Lights (conditions permitting). Whilst in August 2026, guests will experience the Solar Eclipse on a special themed departure, the 15-day Wonders of the High Arctic: Greenland & Iceland Solar Eclipse Cruise.
