Air Canada Vacations Celebrates the Winners of its 2024 GEM Awards

Air Canada Vacations gathered at the beautiful Hyatt Ziva/Zilara Cap Cana Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic last week to celebrate employee achievements at its annual GEM Awards. GEM, first introduced back in 2019, is a peer-nominated award program that recognizes employees within the Air Canada Vacations organization that have consistently demonstrated outstanding efforts and achievements.

GEM, an acronym for “Going the extra mile” is Air Canada Vacations highest honour, recognizing employees within one of three categories: Ruby Award for outstanding commitment to service excellence; Diamond Award for bringing corporate culture to life; and Emerald Award for leadership.

“I am so grateful to be surrounded by such a talented and dedicated team of individuals, said Nino Montagnese, Vice President, Air Canada Vacations. Our employees are a driving force behind
our success. Their commitment to delivering excellence is truly inspiring and helps contribute to making us a leader in the leisure travel industry. Together, we continue to dream bigger!”

The celebrations took place over four sun-filled days where GEM Award winners had the chance to relax and recharge while taking a dip in the pristine waters of Juanillo beach, enjoy gala dinners, and partake in fun activities including live shows and a traditional Dominican Carnaval. Joined by members of Air Canada Vacations senior leadership team, the GEM Award Winners had the chance to make new travel memories while experiencing Hyatt’s legendary hospitality and service.
