Maroma, A Belmond Hotel, Riviera Maya and Casa de Sierra Nevada, A Belmond Hotel, and San Miguel de Allende have been recognized as Two Key hotels in one of the most prestigious international benchmarks for travellers: The Michelin Guide 2024.
Following the announcement of the MICHELIN Key-awarded hotels in 7 US destinations in April 2024, MICHELIN Key now extends to Canada and Mexico, highlighting exceptional hospitality experiences throughout North America.
Set amongst 200 acres of lush tropical jungle and the secluded white sands of Mexico’s Caribbean coast, Maroma reopened in August 2023, having been carefully reimagined by Tara Bernerd & Partners, with Mayan design, traditions, and culture at the forefront. The reborn icon now has 72 rooms, suites, and ocean view villas and four dining destinations including a new gastronomic restaurant, Woodend by Curtis Stone, by the renowned Michelin-star chef and Casa Mayor by Mexican-born Executive Chef Daniel Camacho, where local cuisine takes center stage. Maroma Spa by Guerlain launched in January as a holistic wellness retreat with a menu of nature-focused treatments and immersive guest experiences including an onsite apothecary and Meliponario, housing the revered Melipona bee. Most recently, the hotel has partnered with Parley for the Oceans to forge an enduring legacy for the surrounding oceans.
At Casa de Sierra Nevada, A Belmond Hotel, San Miguel de Allende, centuries-old stories harmonize with a vibrant contemporary art scene. A home away from home, the urban resort offers stunning views of the city, lush nature, and genuine Mexican heart. Spanning across six heritage mansions dating from the 16th to 18th centuries, each rich with lovingly restored details, all suites and rooms have local craftsmanship at their core. A pioneer of gastronomy, the hotel features three dining destinations, including Adanza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; Restaurant del Parque, serving authentic flavors of Mexico; and Tunki Rooftop by Handshake, where guests can take in sweeping views of the magical city paired with light Peruvian bites and inventive cocktails by Handshake, one of the 'World's 50 Best Bars.' Casa de Sierra Nevada celebrates Mexican culture through artist residencies and immersive workshops, while bold regional flavors are celebrated in our Sazón cooking school. For those seeking a place to relax and unwind, Laja Spa offers traditional treatments with modern understanding, while the serene pool surrounded by lush foliage offers the perfect place to cool off.
