Tremblant's Pedestrian Village Comes Alive in July

Tremblant, pedestrian village

Starting next week, visitors will be pleased to see the pedestrian village come alive with open-air concerts throughout the month of July.

Tremblant's festive atmosphere will make the summer days even more magical. Several free shows, presented in the late afternoon or evening on stages in the heart of the pedestrian village, add that little something special that can’t be found anywhere else in Quebec!

Here are the July events that will not disappoint:

To kick off the month and celebrate Canada Day, festivities kick off at 12 p.m. with face painting and entertainment in the pedestrian village on July 1. The Gracefully Hip, a tribute to Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip, will cover most of their hits from 1989 to 2000, starting at 2 p.m. on the Place Saint-Bernard outdoor stage.

A new event is on: The Corona Evenings at the Summit event. These unique musical gatherings occur in a natural setting, offering breathtaking views of the Laurentians. There will be three evenings on the program this summer, the first of which is on Friday, July 5, with the band Les Jacks.

On Saturday, July 6, the highly anticipated Montreal band Clay and Friends will get the crowd dancing on the Place Saint-Bernard as part of Les Rythmes Tremblant, a series of shows. It starts at 9 p.m. and is guaranteed to be a party atmosphere!

The following day, on Sunday, July 7, the Yoga Session at the Summit by Vuori invites those who wish to experience a rejuvenating moment of gratitude at the summit of the highest peak in the Laurentians. Registration is still open. *The cost of the gondola ticket is not included, but the activity is free. Bring your yoga mat.

The 29th edition of the Tremblant International Blues Festival will take place from July 10 to 14, and once again, the event showcases renowned artists in Blues, Folk and Bluegrass music from all over the world. Blues fans can listen to great blues musicians such as North Mississippi All Stars, Marc Broussard Terrance Siemen and Zydeco Experience. Many favourites like Steve Strongman, MonkeyJunk, Guy Bélanger and Carl Tremblay are back this year. There is also a 100% Quebec program with Lulu Hughes & Friends on Saturday evening. Performances start early in the afternoon and continue late at night, not only on the outdoor stages but also in the village's bars and restaurants and at the Casino Mont-Tremblant. The family zone is back, with on-site entertainment, face-painting and colouring workshops, a caricaturist and interactive musical bikes.

Les Rythmes Tremblant takes over the weekend of July 18-20 with its New Country program. The weekend starts in style with Guylaine Tanguay on Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. on the Place Saint-Bernard stage. Wild Palominos and Blue Ridge Band are on the following afternoon, followed by line dancing with the duo Caroline & Fannie. The evening features Ontario country singer Andrew Hyatt. On Sunday, another great day of music is planned, with Jeoffrey Charles and Léa Jarry in the afternoon. Later, Sara Dufour will close off the weekend in style.

Loto-Québec presents the Cabaret Éclats Tremblant, a circus show at the Casino de Mont-Tremblant. This big top show, created by Les 7 Doigts, opens on July 24 and promises a colourful circus experience. Highly talented artists will shine in the various acts as if suspended between the two sides of the mountain.

The last weekend of July will not disappoint with two highly anticipated free concerts. On Friday, July 26, Bobby Bazini will perform starting at 9 p.m. Touring around the province with Pearl, his new album release, the Mont-Laurier native will present his new songs and some of his greatest hits. To round off the month in style and funk, Montreal collective The Franklin Electric will ignite the village guests’ mood to get them dancing to their uplifting anthems.

Tremblant is packed with activities for everyone; many shows are presented throughout the month. On the mountain, at the lake or in the village, there are plenty of options to take advantage of all the features and facilities offered in Tremblant for all tastes, levels and weather conditions. Discovery, activity and fun go hand in hand at Tremblant, where every visit is an unforgettable experience. Full details at tremblant.ca
