Flight Centre Travel Group is "doubling down on gender equity in the workplace."
"Let’s face it, the corporate ladder is often a steep climb–especially for women. Statistics Canada reports a lingering disparity in the corporate world—just 30.9% of senior leadership roles are held by women. But why settle for the status quo when we can redefine it? That’s what Flight Centre Travel Group Canada (FCTG) is doing," FCTG said in an email to Open Jaw.
In 2023, the group says it witnessed a 26% increase (from 50% to 63%) of women in senior leadership roles, "a pivotal figure in comparison to the national average."
FCTG is providing fertility benefits and offering an online community for women navigating the stages of menopause, they’re tackling issues that are traditionally overlooked but deeply felt by half the workforce.Emese Graham, DEI Manager for FCTG, “aims to empower our employees and create an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can thrive, shaping a workplace culture that champions inclusivity and equity at every level.”
