Kensington Tours is broadening its Voyages by Kensington Tours program that pairs river or ocean cruises with private guided land-based experiences with the introduction of exclusive private guided shore excursions. Available in over 165 global ports, these new offerings feature a variety of enriching experiences such as historical explorations, cultural immersion, active adventures, and culinary journeys.
What sets these tours apart from what may already be available from the cruise line is the ability to customize each tour. Each excursion comes with a private guide and driver - allowing travelers to forgo a large coach bus – and is tailored specifically to the traveler's unique interests and requirements.
These new offerings are an extension of Voyages by Kensington Tours, which combine a client's selected cruise with bespoke, private, guided experiences on land, either before or after the cruise. The 'Voyages' program includes partnerships with ocean cruise lines like Atlas Ocean Voyages, Celebrity, Explora Journeys, Seabourn, and Silversea, as well as river cruise lines such as AmaWaterways, Viva, Avalon, Sanctuary, Scenic and Emerald.
Joelle Davis, Vice President of Cruise at Kensington Tours, notes that these shore excursions are a seamless addition to the Voyages program, aligning with clients' desire and appreciation for more in-depth, personalized land experiences during their cruises. Each excursion is uniquely crafted to align with client interests, offering an enhanced, personalized travel experience. “What distinguishes our shore excursions is that each one is curated specifically for the client and not simply a generic visit that is designed to appeal to the masses,” Davis said. “While many people want to see the highlights in each port, others are looking to go beyond the main sightseeing attractions they may have already visited and want to explore some of the more off the radar or hidden gems in each destination that aren’t covered on other shore excursions.”
