The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman has reopened following extensive renovations, in time to celebrate its 16th anniversary in the Cayman Islands.
“We are thrilled to once again welcome guests to The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, one of our most beloved resort properties in the Caribbean,” said Donna McNamara, Vice President and Global Brand Leader for The Ritz-Carlton.
The resort features a new design inspired by the history and cultural influences of the Cayman Islands. The design blends coastal-inspired elements with mid-century British Caribbean style, as well as an updated color palette featuring deep blues, whites and beiges, as well as shades of turquoise. Textured inlays and simple borders accentuate Neoclassical architecture.

The resort’s Silver Palm Lounge features completely new interiors and a custom-built hardwood cabinet, which will offer guests a collection of items for guests, from rums to hand-rolled cigars of the Caribbean and chocolates made from the region’s cacao. In addition to the public spaces and guest accommodations, the resort’s meeting spaces were updated. These areas were reimagined in neutrals from cream to Champagne with warm accents on the ceilings and rope detailing in the wall coverings. The area is intended to evoke a thatch pattern while the ballroom contains an array of woven elements.
A collection of commissioned and collected local artwork is also present throughout the property. Complementing the public art collection is The Gallery, the property's art exhibition space. The Gallery will continue to highlight Grand Cayman’s visual arts culture, as guests move from the Resort Tower to the Ocean Tower.
