
Fairmont Banff Springs recently announced new and returning festive programming as part of its "Christmas at the Castle" celebrations from 27NOV 2021 to 02JAN 2022.
Christmas Concert Series
Fairmont Banff Springs will be hosting its first-ever Christmas Concert Series this year on select dates. The live performance will showcase Canadian musicians such as Jess Moskaluke, Nice Horse and Dan Davidson throughout the holiday season with Christmas classics and melodies.
The experience is available to hotel guests only and admission is complimentary, however, VIP tickets are available for CAD $100 and include a table for four guests and a bottle of wine or bucket of beer. To view the full lineup and show times, visit Fairmont Banff Springs' web site.
The Thirsty Reindeer
Ramsay Bar will be transforming into the Thirsty Reindeer holiday bar this Christmas. Designed by Cory Christopher, the Christmas-themed bar will boast holiday décor and serve festive-inspired cocktails from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on 10-11DEC, and daily from 17DEC 2021 to 02JAN 2022.
Festive Dining Experiences
Fairmont Banff Springs will offer a variety of festive dining experiences, from buffets in The Vermillion Room and Festive Afternoon Tea in the Rundle Bar to private dining and New Year’s Eve feasts.
360° Dome
Surrounded by views of the Canadian Rockies and the 133-year-old castle, the 360° Dome outdoor private dining venue will be decked out with Christmas décor and will serve a gourmet festive menu from 17-31DEC. Guests can enjoy a family-style brunch or a six-course menu with a surprise visit from Santa Claus.
Santa’s Dining Room
Santa’s Dining Room will be returning this year with festive décor and five-course family-style dining. Designed by Cory Christopher, the private dining experience accommodates 8-12 guests and starts from CAD $2,600. Santa’s Dining Room will be available for private bookings from 14-31DEC with public viewing available from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. over these dates.
New Year’s Eve
Guests can welcome the New Year with a lineup of dining and events:
- Experience the first New Year’s Eve at the recently renovated Rundle Bar with hand-crafted cocktails and live jazz music
- Feast on a six-course dinner in the 360° Dome, which includes access to the Rundle Bar’s New Year Eve event
- Indulge at 1888 Chop House with a four or seven-course dinner plus wine pairings
- Enjoy a New Year’s Eve buffet in The Vermillion Room
- A gourmet table d’hôte menu at Castello Italiana

Santa Suites
Fairmont Banff Springs’ Santa Suites will return to the Castle this holiday season. New in 2019, these four festive guestrooms are specially decorated by Cory Christopher and feature custom Christmas décor exclusive to each room. The Santa Suites are available to book from 14NOV 2021 to 05JAN 2022.
Family Programming
A Christmas Carol, an annual holiday tradition at Fairmont Banff Springs, will be taking place at the castle this year. Tickets are CAD $38 for adults and CAD $26 for children ages 3 to 12. Santa Claus will be hosting family-friendly festive programming such as private Goodnight Visits and photo sessions, while Mrs. Claus will be spreading the holiday cheer with festive workshops at the North Pole throughout the Christmas season, including Holiday Crafts, Gingerbread House Making and Bedtime Stories.
Guests can get into the Christmas spirit with other festive workshops like Ornament Painting and Gift Making, or enjoy a private campfire and s’mores.
