Small ship expedition cruise company Adventure Canada has mandated that all passengers, expedition team members, and crew will require full vaccination against COVID-19 to travel aboard their Ocean Endeavour voyages, including those in the Arctic, Atlantic Canada, and Europe.

The company noted that this policy follows the Canadian government's announcement that as of 01NOV 2021, Canada’s borders will once again be open to ship-based tourism for individuals fully vaccinated against COVID-19. According to the line, guests who currently have bookings and do not obtain a COVID-19 vaccination are eligible for a full refund.

"We are very excited to be welcoming guests back, to share and discover new places and cultures aboard our exciting new expeditions," says Adventure Canada CEO Cedar Swan. "Adventure Canada is fully dedicated to the health and safety of our guests, crew, and the communities we are honoured to visit. We're looking forward to once again being able to offer regenerative travel experiences that advocate and strengthen nature and culture, and are essential to move forward into recovery and beyond."

In preparation for the upcoming operating season, and in consultation with best practice recommendations from the Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators (AECO) and the World Health Organization during the COVID-19 pandemic, Adventure Canada has developed and adopted new guiding principles under the categories of Clean Ships, Healthy People, Responsible Experiences, and Community Commitment. Details of these principles can be found here.

Adventure Canada has not operated expeditions since the close of their 2019 season due to the pandemic. Expeditions for the company's 2022/2023 season can be found here.
