Celebrity Apex Makes her Inaugural Voyage with Guests in Greece

Celebrity Cruises' latest ship, Celebrity Apex, set sail for the first time with guests onboard on 19JUN 2021 in Greece.

The luxury-class ship was originally planned to debut in MAR 2020, but was delayed due to the pandemic. It is now sailing with a fully vaccinated crew and with guests, 95 per cent at least of which are fully vaccinated.

Greece allows guests to fully explore the islands, but Celebrity is also offering curated tours, including more private ones for those wishing to travel in a small group.

Guests aboard the Celebrity Apex's Greek Islands and Cyprus itinerary will be visiting Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini, and Limassol, Cyprus.

“After all this time, what a dream come true for everyone onboard this exquisite ship in one of the world’s most breathtaking regions. Her sail-away today is a meaningful moment for our guests, our crew and our company. I think we are all having ‘pinch me’ moments,” said Celebrity Cruises President and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo.

“Returning to sailing in the Aegean, where it all began for us, and after such a long time, is also very special for me and for the Celebrity Apex crew. Greece has always held a special place in our hearts, and, now, even more so, as we sail forward to experience all of its wonder, once again.”
