St Kitts and Nevis says ‘No’ to Cruise Lines Until Vaccine, Testing Protocols Identified as FL Permits Non-vaxed Pax to Cruise

St Kitts and Nevis Tourism Minister, Lindsay Grant said that the twin-island country will not receive any cruise calls for AUG 2021 until vaccine and testing protocols can be identified for the safety of its citizens. To explain the details of the decision, Minister Grant said that Caribbean homeporting is no longer a valid option and Florida is now the main homeport for Caribbean cruising. He added that Florida allows people who are vaccinated and unvaccinated on-board to cruise, but St Kitts and Nevis has not yet attained the herd immunity. As such, the continuation of cruise lines may jeopardize the health situation of St Kitts and Nevis.
