Travel Agents in ON, QC, NS Join Tourism Ireland and Partners to Experience the ‘Best of Ireland’

Tourism Ireland kicked off its annual Sales Mission and media events 28FEB with the first of a series of Eastern Canada events. Beginning in London, ON, the trade event heads to Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax showcasing the island of Ireland. Tourism Ireland Canada reps are joined by a delegation of 20 tourism enterprises from Ireland and 3 Canadian partners.

The goal of the events is to help Canadian advisors sell Ireland by targeting key consumer passion points of adventure and experiences, ‘craic’ and culture, history, and heritage as well as luxury travel via panel discussions by industry experts across the island of Ireland. The event series is part of Tourism Ireland's strategy to rebuild tourism to Ireland to 2019 levels.

As the 5th strongest market for the island of Ireland in terms of holiday revenue, the sales blitz in Canada provides a valuable opportunity to celebrate what’s new for 2023 for Canadian clients and encourage them to drive bookings for 2023/2024 and beyond.

"This week's sales mission welcomes our largest ever delegation of Irish industry to Canada as we highlight the breadth and variety of reasons to visit Ireland in 2023. The visit offers a strong opportunity for partners to connect with travel advisors selling the island of Ireland, encouraging them to expand their programming and ensure Ireland is top of mind when recommending destinations to clients," Sandra Moffatt, Manager, Tourism Ireland, Canada, said.

"Canadian holidaymakers are highly valued with 240,000 Canadian visitors delivering €209 million to the economy in 2019, and we look forward to re-building sustainable tourism growth from across the country this year."
