Lisa Connell, Royal Caribbean International's Director of Sales for Canada, provided an update to travel partners on 28SEP about its Eastern Canada team.

With the addition of new Accounts Managers, the cruise line has re-evaluated territory coverage to "best align" Royal Caribbean's support in each market. Maria Gibson, Strategic Account Manager for Eastern Canada, will now be managing "a few more" accounts in Eastern Ontario along with supporting Eastern & Northern Quebec. Gibson is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and group business, said Connell. Gibson has continuously grown her business year after year and Connell says the accolades Gibson has received during her tenure are "remarkable."

In addition, Royal Caribbean has also hired a new Business Development Support Specialist that will work with Gibson to ensure business needs are handled on a daily basis while Nate Allen, Strategic Account Manager based in Toronto, is on the road. Gabriel Dechauffour, the new Business Development Support Specialist, has spent the last 6+ years helping run his family’s luxury safari lodge in Kenya. Dechauffour is based in the Miami office which gives him full access to all departments for timely assistance, according to Connell. Over the next few weeks while Dechauffour completes his training our full staff of Business Development Support Specialists will cover for him.

"Thank you for the support you’ve always given Royal Caribbean. We are committed to continuing to provide our travel partners with exceptional service and support. Your entire Royal Caribbean team, including myself, Vicki Freed and Joanne Schimelman are here to serve your needs and help you grow your Royal Caribbean business," Connel concluded.
