Playa Hotels & Resorts has promoted Amanda Morris to Director of Sales - Canada as of 10DEC 2021.

“Since joining Playa Hotels & Resorts as Business Development Manager, Ontario, Amanda has demonstrated tremendous initiative and leadership, especially during the past two years as we navigated through this pandemic,” said Rose Cosentino, Vice President of Sales – Canada & EURASIA.

Morris' responsibilities as Director of Sales - Canada will include managing leisure and social/wedding group sales, as well as working with national trade partners to build Canada’s position as source market as the industry recovers.

Previously, Morris held the position of Eastern Canada BDM for Playa.

Playa states that Morris assumes her new role during a period of continued growth for the resort company, with the recent openings of Wyndham Alltra all-inclusive resorts, Tapestry by Hilton Yucatan Playa del Carmen and Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun.
