Virtuoso Appoints Úna O’Leary as General Manager for Canada
Úna O’Leary

Luxury travel network Virtuoso has appointed Úna O’Leary as its general manager for Canada.

O’Leary is based in Toronto, with a responsibility to increase the luxury consortium's business development and footprint within the country through strategic partnerships; expanding travel agency members and travel providers; as well as elevating brand awareness.

Her extensive travel industry experience includes more than five years at CWT, a Virtuoso member agency, as its senior director of marketing and strategic partnerships, North America. She has also held senior-level positions at Ensemble Travel Group, CIBC Insurance and American Express.

"During my time at CWT, I managed the Virtuoso relationship and it allowed me to get to know the organization from the agency perspective," O’Leary said. "I’m very happy to be back in the Virtuoso family and look forward to working with their dedicated team of professionals to further expand their presence and partnerships within Canada."

According to Seatrade Cruise News, O'Leary is just the latest Virtuoso strategic hire globally. The company also recently announced new general manager roles in other regions, including Latin America and the Caribbean as well as Europe, Middle East and Africa.

“Positioning Virtuoso leaders in each of our markets will play a critical part in our drive to pandemic recovery and beyond,” said Michael Londregan, Virtuoso’s senior vice president, global operations. “Úna will bring to our team vast distribution expertise along with in-depth knowledge of the Canadian market, an important region for Virtuoso, and one of the most prolific travelling nations in the world.

“We welcome Úna and look forward to her talent to execute our strategy of both building a powerful Virtuoso brand globally and delivering a distinct value proposition to our members and partner suppliers.”
