Wendy Paradis Named Chair of Global Advisor Association, WTAAA

Wendy Paradis, president of the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA), has been appointed Chair of the World Travel Agents Associations Alliance (WTAAA) for the coming year, leading its newly elected Executive Committee.

WTAAA represents 57 countries across six continents and is dedicated to enhancing the global travel agency community and fostering stronger industry relationships.

Following its recent General Assembly in Athens, WTAAA shared initiatives for 2025 focusing on empowering travel advisors and advocating for travellers' rights.

The association lists its priorities as promoting transparency in pricing, advancing consumer protection, and launching the "Travel Right, Travel Smart" campaign. For advisors, the WTAAA aims to address fair fees, training on emerging technologies, and equitable practices.
