The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has published a spam email alert to registrants.
In the advisory, TICO said it had been made aware of a spam email circulating falsely claiming to be selling a distribution list of TICO registrants:
"Please be advised that this email is not authorized or legitimate. We urge you to ignore or delete the email or block the sender.
"Do not engage with the sender or provide any personal or company information.
"Unfortunately, hackers are becoming more sophisticated and are sending customized emails in an attempt to scam people.
