The German National Tourist Office (GNTO) in Canada will be closing on New Year's Eve of this year due to significant budget cuts affecting the board’s operations in 2025.
"This difficult decision involves the closure of six offices worldwide, including ours here in Canada," said Anja Brokans, Director, GNTO Canada.
"I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you," she said in a note to members of the Canadian travel industry. "Your support and collaboration have been truly invaluable in helping us share the magic of Germany with Canadian travellers.
"We couldn’t have achieved what we did without you, and we’re so grateful for everything we’ve accomplished together," Brokan said. "Once again, thank you for being such a wonderful partner. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you."
