TTC Brings Tour Brands Under Single Umbrella; Consolidates Canada with U.S.

The Travel Corporation (TTC) has announced a global reorganization, one which will see major changes in the structure and leadership of its tour brands, including the departure of some well-known Canadian faces under a North American consolidation.

The Tollman family-owned company has created a new division: TTC Tour Brands. The single new division is an umbrella for the company’s tour brands including Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, Costsaver, Contiki, Brendan Vacations, and Adventure World Travel.

TTC Tour Brands will serve as a single source for sales, marketing and operations of the individual brands. The company says the individual brands’ identities and points of differentiation will be retained.

Gavin Tollman will be CEO of the new TTC Tour Brands. The company says the reorganization is intended to create a “seamless” selling experience for advisors to match clients to the best TTC Tour Brand.

“Our efforts to make it even easier for agents extend beyond our team reorganization,” Tollman said in a statement.

“In June we are also launching a single sign on agent booking portal, where agent partners can look at and book all TTC tour brands in one place.  We are becoming more efficient in our structure to serve our partners better, eliminating confusion in the marketplace, and strengthening the integrity of our unique and diverse tour brands.”

Canada Combined with U.S. Market

The creation of a single TTC Tour Brands included sweeping changes, particularly for Canada.

The company has combined the U.S. and Canada into a single sales and marketing region under the direction of Melissa da Silva.

Previously president of TTC brands Trafalgar, Costsaver, Brendan Vacations, Contiki, and Adventure World Travel in the United States, da Silva now adds TTC brands Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold, as well as the Canadian market to her portfolio.

Well-known TTC executive Guy Young expands his role as Chief Trade Engagement Officer in the newly-created, combined region.

“Travel advisors have always been and will remain key to our forward plans,” said Young.  “We will continue to invest in their success.  This reorganization is in great part, a recognition of the increasingly important role the travel advisor community has demonstrated they play in helping consumers navigate travel in today’s world.  Travel advisors are necessary, and we are creating a better structure to serve them well.”

According to the TTC statement, “two new roles have been created to support TTC Tour Brands, including an Account Manager for Canada and Vice President of National Accounts, North America.”

While not part of the official announcement, Open Jaw has information that president at The Travel Corporation Canada, Jeff Element, apparently remains in the Canadian office. However, Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold president for Canada Brad Ford, Trafalgar Canada president Wolf Paunic, and president for Canada of Contiki, Sheralyn Berry, apparently leave their roles under the consolidation.
