Celebrity Cruises has released details of the culinary and beverage program on their upcoming ship, Celebrity Ascent.
The ship will feature redesigned restaurants, immersive dining experiences, expanded food and cocktail menus, a new whisky tasting offering, and a plant-based, multi-course dinner.
One highlight is the collaboration with renowned chef Daniel Boulud, Celebrity's Global Culinary Ambassador. His restaurant concept, Le Voyage, will feature a new design and offer guests a menu inspired by Boulud's personal travels and favourite destinations. Groups can reserve the Chef's Table, a private, six-seat dining room with a multi-course tasting dinner and wine pairings.
Eden, a venue on all Edge Series ships, offers a signature restaurant featuring a new seven-course plant-based tasting menu.
Celebrity also introduced a new dining concept within the Edge Series ships, expanding from one main dining room to four main dining restaurants, each specializing in different cuisines. On Celebrity Ascent, travellers can enjoy New American cuisine at Cosmopolitan, Mediterranean dishes at Cyprus, French contemporary fare at Normandie, and Italian cuisine at Tuscan. Together, the four restaurants offer more than 84 different dishes.
Ascent will also feature a new four-course dining show as part of Celebrity's high-tech Le Petit Chef dinner experience, presented in a fairytale style, where the tiny chef encounters a mysterious magical cookbook filled with "whimsical recipes full of surprises."
Lastly, Celebrity Cruises has announced a new partnership with WhistlePig Whiskey onboard Ascent, which will feature two hand-selected barrels made exclusively for the cruise line that guests can enjoy either as a la carte options or as part of a tasting flight.
The new ship will set sail in NOV from Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades for its inaugural Caribbean season.
