Explora Journeys Announces Destination Experiences For Canada and U.S. East Coast

Explora Journeys has released details of the Destination Experiences for EXPLORA I’s North American itineraries from SEPT to NOV 2023.

Debut Inaugural Journeys Collection for North America includes experiences in New York, Boston, Halifax and Quebec City for small groups of two to 25 guests.

United States

New York: Guests will be able to visit the Museum of Modern Art on a private tour before opening hours by an expert art historian, go backstage on Broadway for an exclusive encounter with a Broadway star and a performance of musical favourites, and learn the Japanese practice of connecting to the unique energy of a place in nature.

Boston: A visit to Fenway Park, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, afternoon tea with a New England twist, and the 1895 Beaux Arts public library on Boston’s Copley Square.

Port Canaveral: Guests have the opportunity to visit the Kennedy Space Center and have a private meeting with a NASA astronaut and learn to surf on Cocoa Beach.

Portland: Experiences are centered around its the local food and beer culture and guests can sail on a lobster boat before going to local seafood shops, coffee houses, bakeries and restaurants, and take a trip to a local winery.

Canada

Baie Comeau: The experience includes a double sea kayak tour and a guide will take guests whale-watching.

Charlottetown: Falconry anyone? Also attendance at the 'Fair Isle Food Tour’ with farm-to-table dining, local chocolates, and seafood chowders.

Gaspé: Experiences include a hike in the Forillon National Park and a sea excursion on the Gulf of St. Lawrence near Canada's Percé Rock.

Havre-Saint-Pierre: Guests can take a 90-minute walk on Mignan Archipelago.

La Baie (Saguenay): Embark on a seaplane tour with views of the area, including Cap Éternité. Other experiences include a class with Chef Jonathan Grenon of Auberge des Battures and  will be able to sample some of his offerings served with local beers and spirits.

Quebec: A kayak excursion through a fjord, an evening at a sugar shack or ‘cabane à sucre’, and a visit to the maple museum.

Halifax: Guests can experience the local culinary scene, visit Peggy’s Point Lighthouse, have lunch at the Shore Club in Hubbards and golf at The Links at Brunello.
