Crystal Cruises Woos Back Past Guests with 'Open Deposits' Program; OBC

Past Crystal guests are receiving emails from the new owners, A&K Travel Group, offering priority bookings and OBC for the re-launching cruise line's "inaugural season launching in early 2023."

Earlier this year, A&K Travel Group acquired the Crystal Cruises brand and two of its ocean vessels, Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, following the brand's bankruptcy during the pandemic.

The new owner is wooing back past guests with its "Open Deposits program, offering first priority bookings on itineraries, stateroom and suite selections, and experiences."

Past guests will also receive as part of the Open Deposits program a USD $250 per guest 'As You Wish' shipboard credit, which Crystal says can be used to book shore excursions, shop in onboard boutiques, or dine at specialty dining venues.

According to the email, which Open Jaw received, the reborn Crystal Cruises two-ship fleet will offer itineraries to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Canada and New England, Alaska, Caribbean, Panama Canal, Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

The company also says it will soon be announcing Grand Journeys, along with a World Cruise, departing in 2024.

Crystal Cruises' past-guest outreach follows news reported by Seatrade earlier this week that the re-launching cruise line will be headquartered in Aventura, in north Miami-Dade county, where, according to President Jack Anderson, the company will be able to recruit from the cruise talent pool.
