Porter Adds LaGuardia Service from Toronto Pearson

Porter Airlines' new Embraer E195-E2.

Porter Airlines is expanding its presence in New York by launching year-round flights from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to LaGuardia Airport (LGA) beginning 01MAY 2025.

The airline announced it will offer up to three daily roundtrip flights.

Porter will be based at LaGuardia’s new Terminal B, which recently underwent a USD$5.1 billion redevelopment.

“We have built a strong passenger base over more than 15 years for those travelling between Canada and the New York metropolitan area. The addition of LaGuardia introduces a new dimension to our network, opening more options for existing customers and the ability to attract new ones within the busiest air service corridor connecting Canada and the U.S.," said Andrew Pierce, VP of network planning and reporting at Porter.

Through Porter’s interline partnership with JetBlue, travellers will have access to onward connections across the southern U.S. from LGA.

The addition complements Porter’s existing Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) flights. Porter has been serving the New York-New Jersey market since 2008 with flights from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) to Newark. In 2023, Porter expanded its Newark service by adding flights from Ottawa International Airport (YOW).

The combined routings will offer up to 15 daily roundtrips.
