"We recognize the tremendous impact Ms. Lecia Allen has already made on the lives of 50 students, and we hope our contribution will further support their dreams and strengthen their capacity to meet the growing needs of the community," stated Eddy Doyle, CEO of Canada Jetlines who presented the gifts directly to the organization in Montego Bay.

Lecia Allen, Founder of Wings Kidz, thanked Canada Jetlines, "People often just talk about helping but then do not. But, Canada Jetlines stepped up and helped strengthen our wings."

As Open Jaw reported, Canada Jetlines’ inaugural flight from Toronto Pearson International Airport to Montego Bay, Jamaica, took off on 09DEC 2023. The airline will operate the Toronto to Montego Bay route with an initial frequency of 2x weekly (Saturday and Sunday). The airline expects to add a third weekly flight starting in 2024, offering even more flexibility for travellers seeking sun-soaked getaways and memorable experiences.

According to the Jamaica Observer, Jamaican Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett stated that the new route will assist Jamaica in reaching the goal of having 500,000 visitors from Canada each year.

"The arrival of Canada Jetlines' inaugural flight into Montego Bay represents a significant milestone for both the airline and Destination Jamaica. With the launch of this new service from Toronto to Montego Bay, we look forward to welcoming even more Canadian travellers this winter season to experience Jamaica's vibrant tourism offerings and warm island spirit,” Bartlett said.

Canada Jetlines said it is "committed to giving back to the communities it flies to and serves in a growing capacity" and is "looking forward to witnessing the continued success and growth of Wings Kidz and the positive impact it will have on the lives of the children it serves."
