Air Canada’s New ‘Travel Ready Hub’ Provides Destination Entry Requirements, Interactive Map for Travellers

Air Canada has unveiled its new 'Travel Ready Hub,' which will provide travellers with destination entry requirements and an interactive map to help prepare for upcoming trips.

Through the Hub, customers can obtain information such as necessary travel documentation, COVID-19 test requirements and country travel restrictions for any global destination.

"We continue to develop practical solutions to help our customers be travel-ready, wherever they want to go. This includes assisting them in navigating the changing entry requirements set by countries in our global network by making all relevant information available in one convenient place," said Lucie Guillemette, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Air Canada.

"But beyond making essential travel information readily accessible, our easy-to-use Travel Ready hub is designed to make it simple for customers to choose where to go next by showing the countries that are open to visitors through an interactive map."

Air Canada's Travel Ready Hub can be found here and on the mobile version of the carrier's site.

The airline has also published a video demonstrating the new, Travel Ready Hub:

The Travel Ready Hub contains a search widget so customers can search information specific to their situation and itinerary.

Other features include the ability to review entry requirements for every country on their itinerary, including if they are connecting via another country or traveling with an Air Canada airline partner; informs guests on the required COVID-19 test type (molecular or antigen) for travel as well as the valid time window as necessary; as well as providing travel advice related to airport arrival times, among others.

The new Travel Ready Hub is a part of Air Canada's initiatives to make travel planning easier in the post-COVID world, as well as to provide additional digital convenience.

This follows the airline's digital tool on its mobile app which allows customers to scan, upload, and verify their COVID-19 test results. It was originally trialed on 29JUN on flights between YYZ and YUL to FRA, as previously reported by OpenJaw.
