Air Canada Unveils Resumption of International Schedule this Summer

Air Canada has announced it’s resuming over a dozen global routes as part of its planned resumption of service. Specifically, it's relaunching 17 routes and 11 destinations around the world.

“As travel restrictions ease across the globe, we are committed to rebuild our international network and continue as a global carrier to connect Canada to the world, while also developing additional markets and targeting new opportunities,” said Mark Galardo, the senior vice president of network planning and revenue management at Air Canada.

“Canadians are eager to travel again, and we are ready to reunite customers with their families and friends. With vaccination rates globally increasing and our industry-leading CleanCare+ bio-safety protocols, Air Canada has your health and safety as its top priority.”

Starting 01AUG, Air Canada’s Calgary to Frankfurt route will resume four times weekly. A new addition will be a non-stop service from Montreal to Cairo three times weekly.

The company will also consider reopening more routes as travel restrictions change in the coming weeks and months.

Previously, Air Canada had already resumed flights to Athens, Dubai, Rome, Lisbon, Casablanca, and London and the company says it may increase the frequency of those flights as time goes on as well.
