Turkish Airlines is celebrating being in the Canadian market for 10 years this July with a message for travellers: ‘Widen Your World’, a mantra that the airline says resonates with Canadians, known for their sense of adventure, desire to experience new cultures, and connect to family in places in which they lived once before.

Turkish Airlines’ Canadian journey started with flying to Pearson International Airport a decade ago and now services the market out of both Toronto and Montreal.

"We could not have reached this level of success without fantastic Canadian travel agencies who love our brand, partners that provide the highest level of service and catering, and most importantly, the best customers in the world who trust us time and time again to deliver them to their destination whether for business, family reunification, adventure or relaxation," said Zafer Bolukbasi, Turkish Airlines’ General Manager in Toronto.

On 11JUL, Turkish Airlines thanked the community with a dinner and the debut of Take Your Seat, Turkey an exhibit and keynote address by global photographic storyteller Randy VanDerStarren. In attendance was close to 300 travel agencies, industry partners, government representatives and media.

Once a regional carrier, Turkish Airlines transformed into a global one by expanding its destinations and fleet flying to more countries than any other airline in the world. Istanbul’s central location between the continents of Europe, Asia and Africa, provided a natural advantage in efficiently reaching a network of over 300 destinations in 124 countries.
