Travel safety service provider Crisis Cover has appointed Mark Linton as Senior Consultant, Sales and Strategic Development, North America.

Crisis Cover CEO Carole Tokody explained that Linton brings 30 plus years of travel insurance industry experience to the team.

“This experience includes 15 years as Vice President Sales and National Accounts with RBC Insurance, two years with Cover-More as Head of Sales for USA and Canada, where we worked together, and 18 months as a senior consultant with FocusPoint International,” she said.

“As the world emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic and more people return to international travel, Mark’s knowledge, relationships and passion for the industry’s recovery will be invaluable in raising awareness about Crisis Cover’s innovative safety, security and protection services," Tokody continued.

Linton will be based in Toronto, and began his work with Crisis Cover earlier in OCT.

“It’s been a tough couple of years in the travel sector but North Americans are gradually returning to international travel, more aware than ever that they need to plan for their safety and wellbeing,” Linton said.

“In this role, I look forward to working with travel advisors, airlines and tour operators by enhancing their value proposition to their valued clients while, at the same time, encouraging consumers to get back to international travel with Crisis Cover.”

Crisis Cover provides on-demand geolocation tracking, travel security and assistance services to the retail leisure travel market. Founded in 2019 by senior executives from global travel insurance companies, Crisis Cover offers a proactive worldwide assistance membership designed to protect travellers’ and their wellbeing.
