Air Canada To Resume Service to Many South American Destinations

Air Canada is resuming service and increasing capacity to key South American destinations such as São Paulo, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, and Santiago from YYZ and YUL.

Service to GRU will resume from YUL on 08DEC 2021 with four flights per week, while service from YYZ to GRU will increase to daily flights as of 06DEC. This route will be served by Air Canada's Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Service from YUL to BOG is set to resume on 02DEC 2021 with three weekly flights, while flights from YYZ to BOG will increase to four per week as of 07NOV, all operated on an Airbus A330-300.

Flights to BOG will allow customers to connect to other South American destinations via Star Alliance partner Avianca.

Air Canada also notes that it will continue serving Buenos Aires, Argentina with flights offered to YYZ or YUL via GRU. The Argentinian government has announced plans to reopen to international tourists as of 01NOV, and these newly announced flights are still pending government approval.

The airline will also resume service between YYZ and SCL in JAN 2022 with three-times weekly flights.
