Destination Canada to Match US Airline FF Perks for AC Flights

Destination Canada is attempting to use travel perks to lure US frequent flyers to come to the country on Air Canada. The campaign, which rolls out today on 27SEP, would provide the almost 20,000 frequent flyers on American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and Delta Air Lines matching status for trips up north on Air Canada flights. This includes perks like priority boarding that would normally cost a premium fare or a fee. Those booking a trip north of the border on Air Canada before 15JAN would also keep their frequent flier status with the airline through the rest of 2022. Gloria Loree, Destination Canada's chief marketing officer says the goal is to restore routes from the United States, while trying to attract travelers who will return to Canada.
