Corporate Traveller Announces New Management Platform for Small-Mid-Sized Businesses

Business Travel

Corporate Traveller, a global travel management company for start-ups and mid-market businesses that operates in seven countries and is part of the Flight Centre Travel Group, has unveiled its newest travel management platform.

Melon is Corporate Traveller’s new proprietary, on-the-go travel management platform featuring what the company calls intuitive navigation and a seamless end-to-end online experience to help customers easily book, manage, and measure the performance of their business travel programs.

The platform, which launches on 22SEP in Canada and the U.S., is intended to be used by small-medium sized enterprises to help them gear up for the return to travel. According to Corporate traveller, Melon was developed in response to the evolving expectations of an increasingly travel hungry, tech-savvy and budget conscious workforce.

“During this period of pause, we listened to our customers and adapted our offerings, investing in a next generation digital experience that combines rich content supported by our trademark dedicated and personalized service to help companies get back on the road again,” said Chris Lynes, Senior Vice President for Corporate Traveller.

“Our clients tell us that travel is crucial to their success, and in Canada, we are already seeing encouraging signs of recovery with 38% uplift in bookings made in the last month alone, this indicates a strong desire to return to in-person meetings in the months ahead,” added Lynes.

A Tailored Online Experience

Melon is intended to be an accessible, on-the-go travel management solution, so it has been designed to switch between mobile and desktop without losing functionality. Administrators on the platform will be able to control travel options by setting personalized algorithms and individual spend levels.

In addition, Melon’s AI will assist travel companies by setting a variety of choices based on learned user behavior to align itself with the travel company’s policies and program goals. The platform will also provide a breakdown of spending, alongside dashboard analysis of important KPI metrics in real-time.

Technology and Personal Support

Corporate Traveller has added features to address the barriers of ever-changing international travel requirements and companies’ gradually resuming travel programs. Melon will display the latest guidance before booking, as well as proactively sharing live updates.

Travel program administrators can also track employees’ whereabouts in real-time, and Melon’s health and safety capabilities will provide alerts on risk-related events impacting travel such as country entry requirements, latest government and supplier COVID restrictions, adverse weather, crime and more.

Lynes added: “While on the go, help is always an instant away whether via Melon’s AI mobile chat function or the expert assistance of our agent support team.”

Access to a Global Inventory

Corporate Traveller customers also have a wide variety of choice in travel content and options sourced from many different travel suppliers. Corporate Traveller and Melon have access to Flight Centre Travel Group’s rates, added-value benefits, and exclusive deals.
