Windstar Cruises’ Sailing Flagship Restarts Operations in the Mediterranean

The US-based small ship cruise line Windstar Cruises has welcomed back its flagship Windstar Surf. The distinctive and unique sailing yacht returned to service in the Mediterranean as it departed 08AUG from Barcelona on an 8-day voyage to Lisbon.

The 342-guest Surf will stop at ports including Palma de Mallorca, Cartagena, Almería, Málaga, Gibraltar and Cadiz.

This marks the fourth of Windstar’s six ships to be back to cruising. The remainder will debut on various dates through NOV. Like other cruise lines, Windstar will require full vaccination for all pax and crew.

Previously, the Wind Star resumed operations in Greece on 19JUN, on 10JUL the Star Breeze began sailing in the Caribbean then on 15JUL Wind Spirit returned to Tahiti.

The remaining two yachts are Star Legend, departing on a Northern European voyage on 04SEP and the Star Pride’s Caribbean return to service on 04NOV.
