The Canadian airline exodus from the U.S. continues.
Published reports say Edmonton-based Flair Airlines has run its last route between YYZ and Barry Field Nashville/BNA).
According to airlinegeeks.com, the airline later confirmed that it is also phasing out routes to LAS from both YYC and YEG earlier than planned and will now end those flights on 07APR rather than later in the month.
The website noted that Flair faced competition from WestJet on all three routes. Air Canada also flies between YYZ and BNA.
In a note posted on social media, Ishrion Aviation said Flair will also be moving up its suspension of four routes from late April to early April:
- Calgary to Phoenix
- Edmonton to Phoenix
- Vancouver-Palm Springs
- Waterloo Ontario to Fort Lauderdale
As reported by Open Jaw, Air Canada is trimming its flights to Florida and other U.S. destinations. Canada’s largest airline also said it would be reducing service this month to Arizona and Las Vegas.
Porter Airlines has said it’s no longer marketing U.S. flights to Canadians.
