Air Canada Vacations Marks 50 Years of Packaging Holidays

Air Canada Vacations is celebrating 5o years of vacation packages. From Venturex, to Touram to today’s Air Canada Vacations.

What better way to have a birthday party than with a sale. For two weeks, Air Canada Vacations has put the world on sale with over 50,000 vacation packages.

The sale offers discounted packages until 23FEB for departures until 18DEC 2025.

Initially launched in the mid-1970s under the Venturex brand, the operator gained recognition for its travel experiences, including ski trips, motor holidays and railway vacations. In the 1980s, the company rebranded to Touram and expanded its offerings to include over 40 destinations in North and South America and partnerships with 30 cruise lines.

In 1990, the company officially changed its name to Air Canada Vacations.

Today the operator partners with over 600 resorts across 60 sun destinations and offers more than 350 tours across the globe in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Morocco, Dubai, and Central and South America.

"This milestone moment would not have been possible without the trust and loyalty of Canadian travellers," said Nino Montagnese, Vice President, Air Canada Vacations.

"Providing our customers with more than just vacations, they've taken us along with them on the memories they've made, and we couldn't be more grateful. As a show of gratitude, we'll be kicking things off with a surprise worldwide sale, followed by exciting contests and vacation moments throughout the year to help inspire future travels."

All packages include a first checked bag and a carry-on per person. Aeroplan Members can earn points on their flights and up to 12,000 extra points on select vacation packages.
