The Bike Tourism Boom: Top Cycling Routes In Europe

Bike tourism in Europe is growing rapidly as active travellers are looking to get closer to scenic landmarks in an immersive journey in either self-guided tours or trips with a tour operator. “Our bookings for this summer and fall are booming,” explains Mia Liefeld of the DuVine Cycling + Adventure Co. “Throughout COVID people have turned to their bikes, and now they’re ready to take their love of cycling on the road. Our guests are very eager to get back to Europe, especially as restrictions relax.” Travel Agent Central has compiled a list of some of the most popular and scenic European bike routes, which includes destinations such as the Atlantic Coast Route between Norway and Portugal, the Balkans, Italy, and much more.
