Quark Expeditions announced a donation of USD$248,000 to Polar Partners, raised entirely by guests through onboard auctions during the Antarctic 23/24 and Arctic 24 seasons.
This outstanding contribution reflects a shared love for and commitment to making a positive impact in the polar regions. The funds distributed support groundbreaking research initiatives, including those by Penguin Watch and Seabird Watch, as well as vital environmental efforts led by South Georgia Heritage Trust, Centro ICEA, and many others. Together with Quark Expeditions’ in-kind donations totaling $340,000, these contributions underscore our collective appreciation for and dedication to preserving the polar regions.
Quark Expeditions’ onboard auctions, a signature feature of our voyages, empower guests to make a tangible difference by directly supporting impactful conservation and community initiatives. Guests become part of the legacy of protecting the polar regions by bidding on exclusive keepsakes supplied by Quark Expeditions such as personalized voyage maps, ship flags, or even an experience like making the morning wake up announcement.
