YYZlaw Announces Growing Legal Team with Two New Hires

YYZlaw announced the addition of two new professionals to the YYZlaw team: Timothy Poon and Shakshi Shreya.

Timothy Poon is a Juris Doctor graduate from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and moved to Canada in 2022. He has a diverse background, working in law firms and legal departments across real estate, banking, and aviation industries. Notably, he was a transaction paralegal in a Dublin-based aircraft leasing company's Hong Kong office, where he managed over 40 aircraft deliveries in the Asia-Pacific region. His duties included overseeing documentation, compliance with contractual terms, and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders. Timothy is a native Cantonese speaker and is also proficient in Mandarin. He enjoys hiking and exploring Canada with his family.

Shakshi Shreya holds an LL.M. from McGill University and an MBA in Aviation Management with specialization in Air and Space Law. She has experience as an Associate at a litigation firm in India, representing a major airline in complex passenger claims. Shakshi is an avid writer and researcher in aviation, running a successful blog and co-authoring a book on aircraft leasing and financing. Shaksi is a native Hindi speaker and is also proficient in Spanish. Outside her legal endeavors, she finds joy in hiking and trekking, and is working on obtaining her private pilots license.
