With the recent announcement from the Government of China granting Canada Approved Destination Status,Cathay Pacific has added three flights per week to its existing non-stop service between Toronto and Hong Kong effective 28MAR 2010. The additional services will depart Toronto at 09:35 every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday while the existing daily flights will depart at 01:30 from Toronto.
Cathay Pacific Vice President Canada Alex Shum said, "This is a great time to strengthen services on a very popular route. The addition of three extra flights per week will bring the service to ten flights weekly and offer more choice to those travelling between Toronto and Hong Kong now, and accommodate a future increase in demand to and from Mainland China.'
All flights will be operated by with 777-300ER ultra-long haul aircraft. Once in Hong Kong, travellers can connect to 17 cities in Mainland China through Cathay's sister airline, Dragonair.
The airline is also adding three flights per week from Los Angeles from May 1st, increasing that frequency to 17 each week.
